How to read it. Each colour band is how long a public transport trip takes to get to the star, from the front door, including the walk at both ends. Yellow is the shortest; dark purple is the longest.
Direct only keeps just single-seat rides: one tube, rail or bus leg with no changes. Areas with no such ride drop off the map, which is a useful view when strikes or delays make changes risky.
